1. Who We Are

This Privacy Policy describes how Pluginos (“Pluginos,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit pluginos.com, contact us, or use our services, apps, and plugins.

Pluginos is a development and automation agency offering custom websites, Shopify apps, WooCommerce plugins, mobile applications, YouTube automation, and business process automations.

2. Our Website

This part covers visiting pluginos.com and contacting us, whatever the reason.

Information we collect

We collect information you voluntarily provide and limited technical data generated by your use of our site.

Information you provide

• Name, email address, and message content when you submit our contact form
• Any other details you choose to share when emailing or messaging us about a project

Information collected automatically

• Basic device and browser information (such as browser type and operating system)
• Approximate location derived from IP address
• Pages visited, referring URL, and general usage data

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal data (such as government IDs, health information, or financial account passwords) through this website.

How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

• Respond to inquiries and discuss potential projects
• Provide, operate, and improve our website and services
• Send follow-up communications related to your request
• Monitor site performance, security, and reliability

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use contact-form submissions for unrelated mass marketing without your consent.

• Service providers: trusted vendors who help us operate our business, such as email delivery (e.g. SendGrid) and hosting infrastructure. They may process data only to perform services on our behalf.
• Legal requirements: if required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Pluginos or others.
• Business transfers: if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors find and use our site: which pages are read, which are not, and roughly where our visitors come from. It sets cookies in your browser (named _ga and _ga_<id>) that distinguish one visitor from another. We use this only in aggregate to improve the site, and we do not use it for advertising or remarketing, and do not sell or share this data with third parties for their own purposes.

Google processes this data as our service provider. You can read Google’s privacy policy, and you can opt out of Google Analytics across all sites with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

We do not set advertising or remarketing cookies. Members of our team who sign in to our content admin area receive essential authentication cookies that keep them signed in.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking analytics cookies will not affect how the site works; disabling essential cookies may affect site functionality.

Data retention

We retain contact inquiries and related correspondence for as long as needed to respond to your request, manage ongoing projects, and meet legitimate business or legal requirements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it where reasonably possible.

Third-party links

Our site may link to third-party websites or profiles (such as LinkedIn or the Shopify App Store). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. We encourage you to review their policies before providing personal information.

3. Custom Services

This part applies when you hire PluginOS to plan, build, or look after something for you, such as a website, mobile app, Shopify app, WooCommerce plugin, automation, or YouTube system (“a project”).

Our role

A project can involve working with data that belongs to you or your customers, for example in your store admin, hosting account, database, or business tools. For that data you are the data controller and PluginOS is the data processor: we use it only to deliver and support your project, on your instructions.

What we may receive

• Contact and billing details: names, email addresses, company details, and invoicing information for the people we work with.
• Project materials: briefs, content, designs, files, and feedback you share with us.
• Access to your systems: logins, API keys, or invitations you give us for the accounts the work needs.
• Data inside those systems: business or customer data we can see while doing the work, such as products, orders, or customer records.

How we use it

We use project data only to plan, build, test, deploy, and support your project, and to communicate with you and invoice the work. We do not sell it, use it for advertising, or use your data or your customers’ data for any other client.

Access and credentials

We ask only for the access the work needs, keep credentials confidential, and share them only with the PluginOS team members working on your project. You can revoke our access at any time, and we recommend you do so when the project or support period ends. We delete credentials we hold once they are no longer needed.

Sharing

We may use service providers to deliver a project, such as hosting, code repository, and development tools; they process data only on our behalf. Third-party services built into your project, such as payment, email, or analytics providers, are chosen with you and process data under their own terms. We may also disclose data where required by law.

Confidentiality and retention

We treat what you share about your business as confidential. We keep project files and correspondence while the project and any support arrangement are active, and afterwards only as long as needed for legal, accounting, and warranty purposes. You can ask us to delete project data at any time, unless we must keep it by law. If you need a non-disclosure or data processing agreement, ask us.

4. Shopify Apps

This section applies when a merchant installs any PluginOS app from the Shopify App Store (“our apps”).

Our role

When a merchant installs one of our apps, we process store data on the merchant’s behalf. The merchant is the data controller and PluginOS is the data processor. We process this data only to provide the features of the app the merchant installed, in line with the merchant’s instructions, Shopify’s API Terms, and the Shopify Partner Program Agreement.

Data our apps may access

Our apps access only the Shopify data they need to work, as shown on the permissions screen when you install. Depending on the app, this may include:

• Store information: shop domain, store settings, and the access credentials Shopify issues to the app.
• App configuration: settings, rules, and preferences you create in the app.
• Catalogue data: products, variants, collections, and prices.
• Order data: limited order details, such as order ID, order number, line items, and totals, where an app’s features need them.
• Billing status: your app subscription plan. Payments are processed by Shopify; we never receive card details.
• Storefront context: non-identifying details used to display app features on your storefront, such as a visitor’s country or whether they are logged in.

Our apps do not store customer names, email addresses, phone numbers, or physical addresses unless an app’s core feature requires it, in which case this is shown on the app’s permissions screen.

How we use it

We use store data only to provide, maintain, secure, and support our apps, and to show merchants their own app statistics. We do not sell or rent store or customer data, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not combine it across merchants for any purpose other than operating our apps.

Sharing

We share store data only with service providers that host and run our apps on our behalf, such as cloud hosting and database providers. They are bound by confidentiality and data protection obligations at least as protective as ours. We may also disclose data where required by law.

Retention and deletion

We keep store data while an app is installed. When a merchant uninstalls an app, we delete that store’s data from that app. We also handle Shopify’s mandatory privacy requests (customer data request, customer redact, and shop redact) within the timeframes Shopify requires.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest by our hosting and database providers. Access is limited to authorised PluginOS staff who need it to operate or support our apps.

Customer rights

If a customer of a store using our apps wants to access or delete their data, they should contact that store, and we will help the merchant respond. Merchants can also contact us directly.

Data processing terms

By installing our apps, merchants agree that PluginOS will:

• process store data only as described in this policy and on the merchant’s instructions;
• keep store data confidential;
• use only service providers bound by equivalent obligations;
• help merchants respond to data subject requests;
• delete store data on uninstall or on request; and
• notify affected merchants without undue delay of any security incident involving their data.

5. WordPress Plugins

This part applies to PluginOS plugins for WordPress and WooCommerce (“our plugins”), whether you install a free edition from WordPress.org or a Pro edition from us.

Your site, your data

Our plugins run on your own WordPress site. The settings, logs, and other records they keep are stored in your site’s database, under your control, and you are the data controller for any personal data about your visitors and customers that they handle. Our plugins do not send your site’s, visitors’, or customers’ data to PluginOS.

Services you connect

Some features need a third-party service. You choose and connect it, and data goes from your site straight to that service, under its own terms, not through PluginOS:

• SpamOff: the spam protection service you pick (Google reCAPTCHA, or in SpamOff Pro also Cloudflare Turnstile or hCaptcha) checks protected form submissions and receives the visitor’s browser details and IP address.
• PluginOS AI Chat Assistant: the AI provider connected in WordPress, such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google, receives visitors’ chat messages and the store details needed to answer them. No payment details, passwords, or addresses are sent.
• PluginOS Alt Text: the AI provider connected in WordPress receives the images it is asked to describe, with the product details used to write the alt text.
• TryOnPro: Google Gemini, using your own API key, receives a shopper’s photo and the product image, only after the shopper consents. Uploads and results are kept only for the periods you set.
• Abandoned Cart Recovery through WA: the WA Cloud API receives the phone numbers of customers who opted in at checkout and the messages sent to them, such as cart reminders and order updates, from your own WA Business number.

Instant Buy & Skip Cart does not use any outside service.

Your own privacy policy

Because you decide which plugins and services to use, describe them in your own site’s privacy policy and, where the law requires it, ask your visitors for consent. TryOnPro and Abandoned Cart Recovery through WA include consent options, and TryOnPro supports WordPress’s personal data export and erasure tools.

WordPress.org

Free editions are downloaded and updated through WordPress.org, which handles that under its own privacy policy.

Pro editions and support

When you request a Pro edition or ask us for help, we receive your contact details and whatever you choose to share, such as your site address, screenshots, or temporary access to your site. We use it only to supply the plugin and resolve your request, and we handle any access you give us as described under Custom Services.

6. Rights, Security, and Other Terms

These sections apply to every part of this policy.

Data security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your rights and choices

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Request access to personal information we hold about you
• Request correction or deletion of your information
• Object to or restrict certain processing
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

Children’s privacy

Our website and services are directed to businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

International visitors

Pluginos operates globally. If you access our site from outside the country where our systems are hosted, your information may be processed in jurisdictions that have different data-protection laws than your own. By using our site, you acknowledge that transfer.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
